Audio Use

Handing your unreleased work to a service is a real decision. This page says plainly what Finality does with the audio you upload, and what it will not do.

Your audio stays yours

You keep ownership of everything you upload. Finality is given permission to store and analyse it so it can give you your review, and for nothing else. That permission ends when the file is deleted.

If you opt in, measurements from your reviews (numbers, never audio) help calibrate Finality for everyone; opt out anytime.

Upload only audio you own or have permission to use, and not somebody else's private recordings.

It is never published or distributed

Finality does not publish, distribute, deliver, monetise, pitch, license or submit your work anywhere. No publishing or distribution rights pass to Finality by uploading.

Nothing you upload is shared with other people using Finality. Your work is visible to your own account, and to anybody you have deliberately added to your team.

It is not training data

Finality does not use your audio to train models, and does not use it to build anything offered to anybody else.

It is processed on servers operated by ThreeMinds Collective LLC, and is not sent to a third-party analysis or transcription service. If that ever changes, it will be named here before it takes effect.

Your original is never altered

Finality does not change the file you uploaded. Your original stays exactly as you sent it and remains the primary download.

If you ask Finality to correct something, the corrected version is produced as an additional file alongside the untouched original. Every value that moved is reported against the measurement you were shown beforehand, so you can see precisely what changed and by how much.

What a correction is, and is not

For lanes with a published submission specification — audiobook chapters prepared for ACX, for example — Finality can return a corrected file on request. It adjusts level with the noise floor accounted for, brings room tone at either end into the published range, and then measures the rendered file again through the same analysis that judged the original.

That is not mastering, and it is not a promise of acceptance. A platform decides for itself what it accepts. Finality reports what it measured; the decision to release stays with you.

How long it is kept

Reviews and the audio behind them are deleted automatically at the end of your plan's retention window: 7 days on the free Community plan, 90 days on Solo and 180 days on Studio.

You do not have to wait for that. You can delete any review yourself from inside the app, and it takes the stored audio with it.

Not on this website

This public website does not accept audio. Uploading happens inside the app, after you sign in. Please do not send unreleased audio, private download links or credentials to us by email either.
