Reviews and files
What happens to your audio.
What files can I upload?
MP3, WAV or FLAC, up to 5 GB each. Other formats, such as M4A, AAC or OGG, are refused, even if the file is renamed. Export to one of the three from your editor or DAW, then upload that.
My review says it did not finish. What now?
You were not charged for it. Minutes are only used when a review finishes.
Upload the file again. If it stops a second time, email us with the review's link and we'll look at what happened.
Why can only one review run at a time?
The free Community plan runs one job at a time. That includes reviews and corrected copies. Solo runs up to 3 at once, and Studio up to 10. Start the next one when the current one finishes.
How long are my reviews kept?
7 days on Community, 90 days on Solo and 180 days on Studio. After that, the review and its audio are deleted automatically. You can delete any review yourself before then, from inside the app.
Minutes and billing
What you pay for, and when.
How are minutes counted?
A review uses minutes equal to the length of your file, so a four-minute song uses four minutes.
Downloading a corrected copy uses more: twice the length for a song, one and a half times for a podcast episode, and the same length for an audiobook chapter. Your monthly minutes are used first, then pack minutes.
Do transcripts and sheet music use minutes?
Yes, the same way a review does. A transcript of a podcast episode, an audiobook chapter or a song uses its own length in minutes, so a 30-minute episode uses 30 minutes. Nothing is used if a transcript does not finish. Deleting a transcript does not refund its minutes. Captions come out as SRT, VTT and TXT.
Sheet music is made from a song's stems. The chord chart, guitar shapes and the first 8 bars of melody are free. Unlocking the full lead sheet, MusicXML, MIDI and tab uses the song's length in minutes, once per song.
What happens when I run out of minutes?
Your monthly minutes come back at the start of each month: 60 on Community, 400 on Solo and 3,000 on Studio. To keep going sooner, buy a minute pack: $9 for 75 minutes, $29 for 300, or $59 for 750. Pack minutes never expire.
How do I upgrade, change my card, or cancel?
In the app, open Settings, then Billing. Upgrading to Solo or Studio, buying minute packs, updating your card and cancelling all happen there, through Stripe.
Do I get a refund if I cancel?
Cancelling stops the next renewal. Your plan stays active, with everything it includes, until the end of the period you've paid for. We don't give partial refunds for the time left. The full rules are in the Terms.
How do I add people to my Studio team?
Studio covers up to 5 people, who share its minutes. Invite them from Settings, then Team, in the app.
Your account and data
Your account, your audio.
I forgot my password.
Use the reset page and we'll email you a link to set a new one.
Can I sign in with Google or Microsoft?
Yes. You can also add one to an existing account as a backup way in, from Settings, then Sign-in methods. With two ways in, losing one won't lock you out.
How do I get a copy of my data, or delete my account?
In the app, open Settings and choose Request export or Request deletion. You can also email us. We confirm with you before anything is deleted, and we answer data requests within 30 days.
Who owns the audio I upload?
You do. We store and process it only to run Finality and show you your results, and no publishing or distribution rights ever pass to us.
Still stuck? Write to us.
